AMETEK Announces Record Fourth Quarter and Full Year Results
February 5, 2020 6:55 AM ESTBERWYN, Pa., Feb. 5, 2020 /PRNewswire/ --Â AMETEK, Inc. (NYSE: AME) today announced its financial results for the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31, 2019.
AMETEK's fourth quarter 2019 sales were a record $1.30 billion, up 3% compared to the fourth quarter of 2018. Operating income increased 6% to $297.7 million and operating margins expanded to 22.8%, an increase of 60 basis points over the prior-year period.
On a GAAP basis, fourth quarter earnings per diluted share were $0.96. Adjusted earnings, which adds back non-cash, after-tax, acquisition-related intangible amortization, were $1.08 per diluted share, a 13% increase over the comparable... More
