CN announces new normal course issuer bid for share repurchase and 7 per cent dividend increase
January 28, 2020 4:02 PM ESTMONTREAL, Jan. 28, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- CN (TSX: CNR) (NYSE: CNI) announced today that its Board of Directors has approved the repurchase of its shares under a new normal course issuer bid (Bid) and approved a 7 per cent increase in the 2020 dividend on the Company's common shares outstanding.
The Bid permits CN to purchase, for cancellation, over a 12-month period up to 16 million common shares, representing 2.70 per cent of the 593,521,565 common shares issued and outstanding of the Company not held by insiders on January 20, 2020. On that... More
