American Express Reports Third-Quarter Earnings Per Share of $2.08

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- American Express Company (NYSE: AXP) today reported third-quarter net income of $1.8 billion, up 6 percent from $1.7 billion a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was $2.08, up 11 percent from $1.88 per share a year ago.
