Culp, Inc. (CULP) Misses Q1 EPS by 4c, Revenues Beat
September 5, 2019 4:19 PM EDTCulp, Inc. (NYSE: CULP) reported Q1 EPS of $0.11, $0.04 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.15. Revenue for the quarter came in at $74.8 million versus the consensus estimate of $73.23 million.
Fiscal 2020 First Quarter Highlights
Net sales were $74.8 million, up 4.7 percent over the prior year, with mattress fabrics sales up 12.5 percent and upholstery fabrics sales down 7.6 percent. Net sales for home accessories were $4.3 million, with no full period of comparable prior-year sales as a result of the June 22, 2018, investment in eLuxury.Pre-tax income was $2.8 million, compared with $1.9 million for the prior-year period.
