July 29, 2019 4:06 PM EDTTexas Roadhouse (NASDAQ: TXRH) reported Q2 EPS of $0.63, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.63. Revenue for the quarter came in at $689.83 million versus the consensus estimate of $688.08 million.
Results for the second quarter included the following highlights:
Comparable restaurant sales increased 4.7% at company restaurants and 4.3% at domestic franchise restaurants;Restaurant margin, as a percentage of restaurant and other sales, decreased 53 basis points to 17.6%, primarily due to higher labor costs driven by wage rate and other inflation, partially offset by lower cost of sales as the benefit of a higher average check more than...
