Oxford Industries (OXM) Tops Q1 EPS by 9c, Revenues Beat; Offers Q2 EPS/Revenue Guidance Below Consensus, FY29 EPS/Revenue Mid-Point Views Above Consensus
June 12, 2019 4:10 PM EDTOxford Industries (NYSE: OXM) reported Q1 EPS of $1.30, $0.09 better than the analyst estimate of $1.21. Revenue for the quarter came in at $282.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $277.29 million.
First quarter fiscal 2019 net sales were $282.0 million, a 3% increase over the prior year period. This result included a 2% increase in direct to consumer comparable sales as well as a year-over-year increase in Lanier Apparel sales.Gross profit in the first quarter increased to $165.8 million compared to $164.1 million in the same period of the prior year.
