Simmons Reports First Quarter 2019 Earnings
April 22, 2019 5:00 PM EDTPINE BLUFF, Ark., April 22, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Simmons First National Corporation (NASDAQ: SFNC) today announced net income of $47.7 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2019, compared to $51.3 million for the same period in 2018, a decrease of $3.6 million, or 7.1%. Diluted earnings per share were $0.51, a decrease of $0.04, or 7.3%, from the same period in 2018. Included in first quarter 2019 results was $1.4 million in net after-tax merger-related, early retirement program and branch right-sizing costs.
Excluding the impact of these items, core earnings were $49.1 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2019, compared to $52.6 million for the quarter... More
