CSX Announces Record First Quarter 2019 Financial Results
April 16, 2019 4:02 PM EDTJACKSONVILLE, Fla., April 16, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- CSX Corporation (NASDAQ: CSX) today announced first quarter 2019 net earnings of $834 million, or $1.02 per share, versus $695 million, or $0.78 per share in the same period last year (an earnings per share increase of 31 percent). CSXs operating ratio set a company first quarter record of 59.5 percent, significantly improved from 63.7 percent in the prior year.
