Amgen (AMGN) Cytokinetics (CYTK) & Servier Report Start of METEORIC-HF, the Second Phase 3 Clinical Trial Of Omecamtiv Mecarbil In Patients with Heart Failure
February 21, 2019 8:37 AM ESTAmgen (NASDAQ: AMGN), Cytokinetics, Incorporated (NASDAQ: CYTK) and Servier today announced that METEORIC-HF (Multicenter Exercise Tolerance Evaluation of Omecamtiv Mecarbil Related to Increased Contractility in Heart Failure), the second Phase 3 clinical trial of omecamtiv mecarbil, a novel cardiac myosin activator, is open to enrollment. Omecamtiv mecarbil is being developed for the potential treatment of heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF).

Cytokinetics (CYTK) Commences Phase 1 Clinical Study of AMG 594
February 20, 2019 9:02 AM ESTCytokinetics, Incorporated (NASDAQ: CYTK) today announced that the first subject has been dosed in a Phase 1, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, single and multiple ascending dose study to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of AMG 594 in healthy subjects. AMG 594 is a cardiac troponin activator, discovered under a joint research program conducted between Amgen and Cytokinetics. The study is being conducted by Amgen in collaboration with Cytokinetics.
