Kemper Reports Strong Fourth Quarter and Full Year 2018 Operating Results
February 11, 2019 6:15 AM ESTCHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Kemper Corporation (NYSE: KMPR) reported net income of $6.5 million, or $0.10 per diluted share, for the fourth quarter of 2018, compared to $36.9 million, or $0.71 per diluted share, for the fourth quarter of 2017. In the fourth quarter of 2018, net income included a $60.4 million after-tax loss, or $0.93 per diluted share, attributable to the change in fair value of equity and convertible securities.
