CSS Industries Reports Fiscal 2019 Third Quarter Results

Third Quarter Summary
Net sales of $133.2 million increased 2.0 percent over the prior fiscal year quarter, reflecting the contribution from the Simplicity acquisition, partially offset by lower base business sales. Net loss of $6.8 million included $9.8 million of income tax expense in the quarter primarily related to a non-cash valuation allowance. Adjusted EBITDA of $14.7 million compared to $19.5 million in the prior year quarter, driven primarily by the mix of lower base business volume.... More
