Waddell & Reed Financial, Inc. Reports Fourth Quarter Results
February 5, 2019 6:45 AM ESTOVERLAND PARK, Kan.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Waddell& Reed Financial,Inc. (NYSE: WDR) today reported fourth quarter 2018 net income1 of $46.5 million, or $0.60 per diluted share, compared to net income of $46.3 million, or $0.58 per diluted share, during the prior quarter and net income of $29.8 million, or $0.36 per diluted share, during the fourth quarter of 2017. The fourth quarter of 2018 included a gain of $16.1 million compared to a loss of $6.5 million in the prior year fourth quarter related to the annual revaluation of the pension plan liability.
