NRG Energy, Inc. Announces Partial Redemption of Its Outstanding 6.25% Senior Notes due 2022
August 1, 2018 10:00 PM EDTPRINCETON, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- NRG Energy, Inc. (NYSE: NRG) today announced that it gave the required notice under the indenture governing its 6.25% Senior Notes due 2022 (the 2022 Notes) to redeem for cash $486,000,000.00 aggregate principal amount of its 2022 Notes (the Partial Redemption) on August 31, 2018 (the Redemption Date). The redemption price for the 2022 Notes will be 103.125% of the principal amount of the 2022 Notes, plus accrued and unpaid interest to the Redemption Date.
The Partial Redemption, combined with recently completed open market repurchases of approximately $89,000,000 of NRGs outstanding indebtedness, will result in the retirement of outstanding indebtedness equal to... More
