Kirby Corp. (KEX) Reports Q2 EPS of $0.48, Beats on Revenues; Offers FY18 EPS Outlook Below Consensus
July 25, 2018 5:03 PM EDTKirby Corp. (NYSE: KEX) reported Q2 EPS of $0.48, versus $0.71 reported last year. Revenue for the quarter came in at $802.7 million versus the consensus estimate of $761.7 million.
Outlook
Commenting on the 2018 third quarter and full year market outlook and guidance, Mr. Grzebinski said, "Our earnings guidance range for the third quarter is $0.50 to $0.70 per share which is down sequentially primarily due to vendor delays and timing of revenue recognition in distribution and services, but partially offset by continued improvement in inland marine transportation.
