TI reports 2Q18 financial results and shareholder returns
July 24, 2018 4:01 PM EDTDALLAS, July 24, 2018 /PRNewswire/ --Â Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NASDAQ: TXN) reported second-quarter revenue of $4.02 billion, net income of $1.41 billion and earnings per share of $1.40. Earnings per share include a 3 cent discrete tax benefit not in the company's original guidance.
Regarding the company's performance and returns to shareholders, Rich Templeton, TI's chairman, president and CEO, made the following comments:
