KANSAS CITY, Mo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Great Plains Energy (NYSE: GXP) today announced first quarter 2018 earnings of $35.0 million or $0.16 per share of average common stock outstanding, compared with a first quarter 2017 loss of $24.7 million or $0.11 per share.
Great Plains Energys adjusted earnings (non-GAAP) and adjusted earnings per share (non-GAAP) exclude certain costs, expenses, gains, losses and the per share dilutive effect of equity issuances resulting from the anticipated merger with Westar Energy and the previous plan to acquire Westar.
