Avista Corp. Reports Financial Results for First Quarter 2018, and Initiates 2018 Earnings Guidance
May 2, 2018 7:05 AM EDTSPOKANE, Wash., May 02, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Avista Corp. (NYSE: AVA) today reported net income attributable to Avista Corp. shareholders of $54.9 million, or $0.83 per diluted share for the first quarter of 2018, compared to $62.1 million, or $0.96 per diluted share for the first quarter of 2017.
"We had a good first quarter, with Avista Utilities' earnings that benefited from lower than expected resource costs, resulting from higher than normal hydroelectric generation and lower natural gas fuel prices.
