PITTSBURGH, April 26, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- United States Steel Corporation (NYSE: X) reported first quarter 2018 net earnings of $18 million, or $0.10 per diluted share. Adjusted net earnings were $57 million, or $0.32 per diluted share. This compares to a first quarter 2017 net loss of $180 million, or $1.03 per diluted share. Adjusted net loss for first quarter 2017 was $145 million, or $0.83 per diluted share.         Â
