The St. Joe Company Reports First Quarter 2018 Results
April 25, 2018 7:06 AM EDTWATERSOUND, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The St. Joe Company (NYSE: JOE) (the Company) today announced Net Income for the first quarter of 2018 of $0.7 million, or $0.01 per share, compared with Net Income of $4.4 million, or $0.06 per share, for the first quarter of 2017. The first quarter of 2017 includes a $3.5 million benefit from an insurance settlement and $3.1 million in net realized gains from the sale of investments. Excluding Other Income items, the first quarter of 2018 Operating Loss improved by approximately $4.1 million as compared to the first quarter of 2017.
