Huntington Bancshares Incorporated Reports 2018 First Quarter Earnings
April 24, 2018 7:30 AM EDTCOLUMBUS, Ohio, April 24, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Huntington Bancshares Incorporated (Nasdaq: HBAN; www.huntington.com) reported net income for the 2018 first quarter of $326 million, an increase of $118 million from the year-ago quarter. Earnings per common share for the 2018 first quarter were $0.28, up $0.11 from the year-ago quarter. Tangible book value per common share as of 2018 first quarter-end was $7.12, a 9% year-over-year increase. Return on average assets was 1.27%, and return on average common equity was 13.0%.
