(NASDAQ: INO) today announced that interim Phase 1 results show its DNA immunotherapy designed to treat hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection was safe, well-tolerated and generated virus-specific T cells, including CD8+ killer T cells, meeting the objectives of the clinical study.
