S&P Global Reports Third Quarter Results
October 26, 2017 7:10 AM EDTNEW YORK, Oct. 26, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- S&P Global (NYSE: SPGI) today reported third quarter 2017 results with revenue of $1,513 million, an increase of 5% compared to the same period last year. On an organic basis, third quarter revenue increased 12% with strong growth in every business segment.
Net income decreased 54% to $414 million and diluted earnings per share declined 52% to $1.61 as a result of the prior period benefiting from a pre-tax gain of $722 million on the sale of J.D.
