Campbell Soup missed consensus by $0.03 in Q4, driven mainly by a higher tax rate, as operating profit was off by ~$2mm. For 2018, management maintained a relatively cautious tone.

August 31, 2017 7:17 AM EDTCampbell Soup (NYSE: CPB) reported Q4 EPS of $0.52, $0.03 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.55. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.66 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.69 billion.
GUIDANCE:
Campbell Soup sees FY2018 EPS of $3.04-$3.11, versus the consensus of $3.20.
