August 9, 2017 4:30 PM EDTTAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Masonite International Corporation ("Masonite" or "the Company") (NYSE: DOOR) today announced results for the three and six months ended July 2, 2017.
Executive Summary - 2Q17 versus 2Q16
Net sales increased 1% to $520 million versus $514 million. Excluding foreign exchange, net sales increased 3%. Net income attributable to Masonite decreased to $27 million versus $33 million. Net income in 2016 included a $6 million discrete tax benefit. Diluted earnings per share decreased to $0.89 from $1.06. Adjusted earnings per share* were $0.89 versus $1.02.
