Southern National Bancorp of Virginia Inc. announces results for second quarter and first half of 2017 and declares a dividend of $0.08
July 27, 2017 4:30 PM EDTMCLEAN, Va., July 27, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Southern National Bancorp of Virginia Inc. (NASDAQ: SONA) ("Southern National"), and its wholly-owned subsidiary Sonabank, announced today a net loss of ($2.8) million for the quarter ended June 30, 2017, or ($0.21) basic and diluted loss per share, and a net loss of ($788) thousand, or ($0.06) basic and diluted loss per share for the first half of 2017. That compares to net income of $2.8 million and $5.4 million for the three and six months ended June 30, 2016, respectively. Excluding tax-effected merger costs of $6.1 million for the second quarter of 2017 and $6.4 million for June 30, 2017 year-to-date...
