MidSouth Bancorp, Inc. Reports Second Quarter 2017 Results and Declares Quarterly Dividends
July 25, 2017 4:30 PM EDTLAFAYETTE, La., July 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- MidSouth Bancorp, Inc. ("MidSouth") (NYSE: MSL) today reported a quarterly net loss available to common shareholders of $6.2 million for the second quarter of 2017, compared to net earnings available to common shareholders of $1.7 million reported for the second quarter of 2016 and for the first quarter of 2017. The loss of $6.2 million, or $0.51 per diluted share, for the second quarter of 2017 was primarily due to increased loan loss provisioning to address credit issues as well as charges related to branch sales/closures and the accrual of severance...
