Southern Company raises dividend rate 16th straight year; annualized rate goes to $2.32 per share
April 17, 2017 3:19 PM EDTATLANTA, April 17, 2017 /PRNewswire/ --Â Southern Company said today it is increasing its dividend by 8 cents per share on an annualized basis to a rate of $2.32 per share.
The increase marks the 16th straight year that Southern Company has raised the dividend on its common stock.
Southern Company also announced today a regular quarterly dividend including the increase of 2 cents per share over the prior quarter of 58 cents per share, payable June 6, 2017, to shareholders of record as of May 15, 2017. This marks 278 consecutive quarters... More
