Columbia Sportswear Company Reports Record Sales and Earnings; 2016 Net Income up 10 Percent on 2 Percent Sales Growth; Initial 2017 Outlook Anticipates up to 4 Percent Earnings Growth on 4 Percent Sa

Net sales increased 3 percent (2 percent constant-currency) to a fourth-quarter record $717.4 million. Operating income increased 22 percent to a fourth-quarter record $100.4 million, or 14.0 percent of net sales. Net income increased 34 percent to a fourth-quarter record $84.7 million, or $1.20 per diluted share. The board of directors approved a regular quarterly dividend of $0.18 per share, payable March 22, 2017 to shareholders of record on March 9, 2017.Fiscal Year 2016 Highlights:
