Legg Mason Reports Third Fiscal Quarter Results
February 1, 2017 4:01 PM ESTBALTIMORE, Feb. 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Legg Mason, Inc. (NYSE: LM) today reported its operating results for the third fiscal quarter ended December 31, 2016. The Company reported net income1 of $51.4 million, or $0.50 per diluted share, as compared to net income of $66.4 million, or $0.63 per diluted share, in the previous quarter, and a net loss of $138.6 million, or $1.31 per diluted share, in the third quarter of fiscal 2016. The current quarter's results included non-cash impairment charges of $35.0 million, or $0.25 per diluted share related to intangible assets at RARE Infrastructure and the Permal trade-name. The current quarter's results also included...
