RLI Reports Fourth Quarter and Year-End 2016 Results
January 25, 2017 5:15 PM ESTPEORIA, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- RLI Corp. (NYSE: RLI) RLI Corp. reported fourth quarter 2016 net earnings of $32.2 million ($0.72 per share), compared to $33.9 million ($0.76 per share) for the fourth quarter of 2015. For the year ended December 31, 2016, net earnings were $114.9 million ($2.59 per share), compared to $137.5 million ($3.12 per share) for the 2015 fiscal year. Operating earnings for the fourth quarter of 2016 were $24.9 million ($0.56 per share) compared to $24.6 million ($0.56 per share) for the same period in 2015. For the year ended December 31, 2016, operating earnings were $92.4 million ($2.08 per share) compared to $111.7 million ($2.53 per share) for the 2015 fiscal year.
