American Express Board Authorizes Repurchase of up to 150 Million Shares, Announces 10 Percent Dividend Increase
September 27, 2016 9:16 AM EDTNEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The board of directors of American Express Company (NYSE: AXP) today approved the repurchase of up to 150 million common shares, from time to time, subject to market conditions and the Federal Reserves non-objection of the companys capital plans. This authorization replaces the prior 150 million share repurchase program that had approximately 50 million shares of common stock remaining under board authorization.
