Chesapeake Utilities Corporation Reports Second Quarter Results
August 4, 2016 6:30 AM EDTDOVER, Del., Aug. 4, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Chesapeake Utilities Corporation (NYSE: CPK) ("Chesapeake Utilities" or the "Company") today reported second quarter financial results. The Company's net income for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 was $8.0 million, or $0.52 per share. This represents an increase of $1.7 million, or $0.11 per share over the same quarter in 2015. Excluding a non-recurring $1.4 million pre-tax gain ($0.05 per share) related to the settlement with a vendor in connection with a customer billing system implementation, which occurred in the second quarter of 2015, earnings per share increased by $0.16 quarter-over-quarter.
