Whole Foods Market Reports Third Quarter Results

AUSTIN, Texas, July 27, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Whole Foods Market, Inc. (NASDAQ: WFM) today reported results for the 12-week third quarter ended July 3, 2016. For the quarter, total sales increased to a record $3.7 billion. Comparable store sales decreased 2.6%. Net income was $120 million, or 3.2% of sales, and diluted earnings per share were $0.37. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) were $326 million, or 8.8% of sales, and adjusted return on invested capital was 13.0%. Please refer to the reconciliation of GAAP...
