Colgate Announces 2nd Quarter 2016 Results
July 28, 2016 6:55 AM EDTNEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Colgate-Palmolive Company (NYSE: CL) today reported worldwide Net sales of $3,845 million in second quarter 2016, a decrease of 5.5% versus second quarter 2015. Global unit volume decreased 3.0%, pricing increased 3.0% and foreign exchange was negative 5.5%. Excluding divested businesses and the impact of the previously disclosed deconsolidation of the Companys Venezuelan operations, unit volume increased 1.5%. Organic sales (Net sales excluding the impact of foreign exchange, acquisitions, divestments and the deconsolidation of the Companys Venezuelan operations) grew 4.5%.
