Timken Reports Second-Quarter 2016 Results
July 28, 2016 6:51 AM EDTNORTH CANTON, Ohio, July 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Timken Company (NYSE: TKR; www.timken.com), a global leader in bearings, reports second-quarter 2016 sales of $674 million, 7.5 percent lower than the same period a year ago. Excluding an unfavorable currency impact of 1.7 percent, sales were down 5.8 percent, due to weakness across most end markets, partially offset by growth in automotive and the net benefit of acquisitions.
