Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE: VZ) and Yahoo! Inc. (Nasdaq: YHOO) announce they have entered into a definitive agreement under which Verizon will acquire Yahoo's operating business for approximately $4.83 billion in cash, subject to customary closing adjustments.
