Boston Beer Reports Second Quarter 2016 Results
July 21, 2016 4:15 PM EDTBOSTON, July 21, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Boston Beer Company, Inc. (NYSE: SAM) reported second quarter 2016 net revenue of $244.8 million, a decrease of $7.4 million or 3%, from the same period last year, mainly due to a decline in shipments of 4%, partially offset by price increases.  Net income for the second quarter was $26.6 million, or $2.06 per diluted share, a decrease of $3.3 million or $0.12 per diluted share, from the second quarter of 2015. This decrease was primarily due to decreases in net revenue, a decrease in gross margins and increases in general and administrative expenses, that were only...
