Joy Global (JOY) volatility flat, agrees to be acquired by Komatsu in $3.7B all-cash transaction
July 21, 2016 6:18 AM EDTJoy Global (NYSE: JOY) is recently up $4.70 to $28.25 in the premarket after agreeing to be acquired by Komatsu for $28.30 in cash. July weekly call option implied volatility is at 66, August is at 54; compared to its 52-week range of 37 to 100.

(NYSE: JOY) announced that its Board of Directors has unanimously approved a definitive merger agreement under which Komatsu America Corp., a subsidiary of Komatsu Ltd., will acquire Joy Global in a transaction valued at approximately $3.7 billion, including Joy Globals outstanding indebtedness. Under the terms of the agreement, Joy Global stockholders will receive $28.30 per share in cash for each outstanding share of common stock held, representing a 48% premium to the volume weighted average closing price of Joy Globals common stock for the 90 trading days and a 41% premium to the volume...
