Monsanto (MON) Misses Q3 EPS Views; Offers Informal Update on Bayer Proposal
June 29, 2016 8:02 AM EDTMonsanto (NYSE: MON) reported Q3 EPS of $2.17, $0.23 worse than the analyst estimate of $2.40. Revenue for the quarter came in at $4.19 billion versus the consensus estimate of $4.49 billion.
Our long-term optimism within agriculture and our business remains, said Hugh Grant, chairman and chief executive officer. Our industry is running at a low point in the overall agriculture cycle and weve experienced an unforeseen level of challenges affecting our business in fiscal year 2016.
