Chiesi to Acquire Medicines Co.'s (MDCO) Cleviprex, Kengreal, and Rights to Argatroban
May 9, 2016 7:08 AM EDTThe Medicines Company (NASDAQ: MDCO) announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to sell Cleviprex (clevidipine), Kengreal (cangrelor) and the Companys rights to Argatroban for Injection to Chiesi USA, Inc. and its parent company, Chiesi Farmaceutici S.p.A., for up to $792 million, consisting of $260 million in cash payable at closing, up to $480 million in sales-based milestone payments, the assumption by Chiesi of up to $50... May 9, 2016 7:07 AM EDTMedicines Co. (NASDAQ: MDCO) reported Q1 EPS of ($1.03), $0.14 worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.89). Revenue for the quarter came in at $50.3 million versus the consensus estimate of $48.96 million.
