Kosmos Energy Announces First Quarter Results
May 9, 2016 6:50 AM EDTDALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Kosmos Energy Ltd. (Kosmos) (NYSE: KOS) announced today financial and operating results for the first quarter of 2016. For the first quarter of 2016, the Company generated a net loss of $59.0 million, or $0.15 per diluted share as compared to a net loss of $78.9 million or $0.21 per share in the same period last year. When adjusted for certain items that impact the comparability of results, the Company generated an adjusted net loss(1) of $14.6 million or $0.04 per diluted share for the first quarter of 2016.

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Kosmos Energy (NYSE: KOS) announced today that its Teranga-1 exploration well offshore Senegal has made a significant gas discovery.
Located in the Cayar Offshore Profond block approximately 65 kilometers northwest of Dakar in nearly 1,800 meters of water, the Teranga-1 well was drilled to a total depth of 4,485 meters.
