Chesapeake Energy (CHK) Reports In-Line Q1 EPS; Will Sell Anadarko Basin STACK Acreage in $470M Deal (NFX)
May 5, 2016 8:21 AM EDTChesapeake Energy (NYSE: CHK) reported Q1 EPS of ($0.10), in-line with the analyst estimate of ($0.10). Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.95 billion versus the consensus estimate of $2.55 billion.
Chesapeake said it sees FY16 CapEx at $1.26 - $.76 billion, from $1.3 - $1.8 billion prior.
Newfield Exploration Company (NYSE: NFX) announced today that it signed a definitive purchase and sale agreement with a subsidiary of Chesapeake Energy Corporation to acquire approximately 42,000 net acres in the Anadarko Basin STACK play for $470 million.
