Vitamin Shoppe, Inc. Announces First Quarter 2016 Results
May 4, 2016 6:05 AM EDTSECAUCUS, N.J., May 4, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Vitamin Shoppe, Inc. (NYSE: VSI), a multi-channel specialty retailer and manufacturer of nutritional products, today announced preliminary results for the three months ended March 26, 2016. Total net sales in the first quarter were flat at $336.8 million compared to the same period of the prior year. Reported fully-diluted earnings per share in first quarter 2016 were $0.59, compared with $0.63 in first quarter 2015. Results in first quarter 2016 include approximately $3.3 million (pre-tax), or $0.08 per diluted share, of costs related to strategic initiatives. Excluding these items in both periods, adjusted EPS was $0.67 and $0.63, in...
