AMETEK Announces First Quarter 2016 Results
April 28, 2016 7:01 AM EDTBERWYN, Pa., April 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --Â AMETEK, Inc. (NYSE: AME) today announced its financial results for the three month period ended March 31, 2016.Â
AMETEK's first quarter 2016 sales of $944.4 million were down 4% over the same period of 2015. Operating income was down 12% to $208.5 million and diluted earnings per share of $0.57 were down 10% from the first quarter 2015 adjusted results. Operating margins were 22.1% in the quarter.     Â
