Hilltop Holdings Inc. Announces Financial Results for First Quarter 2016
April 28, 2016 5:05 PM EDTDALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Hilltop Holdings Inc. (NYSE: HTH) (Hilltop) today announced financial results for the first quarter of 2016. Hilltop produced income to common stockholders of $27.6 million, or $0.28 per diluted share, for the first quarter of 2016, compared to $111.9 million, or $1.11 per diluted share, for the first quarter of 2015. This year-over-year change in income to common stockholders included the recognition of a bargain purchase gain related to the acquisition of SWS (SWS Merger) of $81.3 million, or $0.81 per diluted share, during the first quarter of 2015.
