Bemis Company Reports First Quarter Results
April 28, 2016 6:00 AM EDTSUMMARY:
First quarter adjusted diluted earnings per share from continuing operations were $0.60 in 2016, which includes a reduction of approximately $0.03 from the net impact of currency translation when compared to last year. Gross profit margins improved 70 basis points to 21.6 percent of net sales for the first quarter of 2016, compared to 20.9 percent in the prior first quarter. Adjusted return on invested capital increased to 10.5 percent at March 31, 2016, compared to 9.9 percent at March 31, 2015.
