Raytheon awarded $564 million contract for Joint Polar Satellite System instruments
January 28, 2016 6:56 PM ESTEL SEGUNDO, Calif., Jan. 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) has received a $564 million contract modification award from NASA for two satellite sensors as part of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS) Polar Follow-On missions.
The Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) sensors are for two satellites in the series, Polar Follow-On /JPSS-3 and JPSS-4. These are the fourth and fifth VIIRS units Raytheon has been contracted to build.

Raytheon Reports Solid Fourth Quarter and Full-Year 2015 Results
January 28, 2016 6:56 AM ESTWALTHAM, Mass., Jan. 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --Â Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) announced net sales for the fourth quarter 2015 of $6.3 billion, up 3 percent compared to $6.1 billion in the fourth quarter 2014. Fourth quarter 2015 EPS from continuing operations was $1.85 compared to $1.86 in the fourth quarter 2014. Fourth quarter 2015 EPS from continuing operations included, as expected, an $0.08 unfavorable impact associated with acquisition accounting adjustments related to Forcepoint, formerly known as Raytheon|Websense.
