Southern Missouri Bancorp Reports Preliminary Second Quarter Results, Declares Quarterly Dividend of $0.09 Per Common Share, Schedules Conference Call to Discuss Results for Tuesday, January 26, at 3:
January 25, 2016 6:39 PM ESTPoplar Bluff, Missouri, Jan. 25, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Southern Missouri Bancorp, Inc. (Company) (NASDAQ: SMBC), the parent corporation of Southern Bank (Bank), today announced preliminary net income available to common shareholders for the second quarter of fiscal 2016 of $4.2 million, an increase of $785,000, or 23.2%, as compared to the same period of the prior fiscal year. The increase was attributable to an increase in noninterest income, a decrease in noninterest expense, and a decrease in provision for loan losses, partially offset by a decrease in net interest income and an increase in provision for income tax.
