Universal Corporation Announces 45th Annual Dividend Increase and Share Repurchase Program
November 5, 2015 1:48 PM ESTRICHMOND, Va., Nov. 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- George C. Freeman, III, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Universal Corporation (NYSE: UVV), announced today that the Company's Board of Directors declared a quarterly dividend of fifty-three cents ($0.53) per share on the common shares of the Company, payable February 8, 2016, to common shareholders of record at the close of business on January 11, 2016. This increase indicates an annualized rate of $2.12 per common share and a yield of approximately 3.9% based on the $54.65 closing price on November 4, 2015.
