October 28, 2015 4:16 PM EDTWORCESTER, Mass., Oct. 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Hanover Insurance Group, Inc. (NYSE: THG) today reported net income of $78.3 million, or $1.74 per diluted share, for the third quarter of 2015, compared to net income of $54.9 million, or $1.22 per diluted share, in the prior-year quarter. Operating income was $72.2 million, or $1.61 per diluted share, in the third quarter of 2015, compared to $47.7 million, or $1.06 per diluted share, in the prior-year quarter.Â
